Portfolio Samples

Please preview the examples below to get an idea of how your transcript will look.

Your transcript can be in any font, in any size, with any line spacing you prefer.

If no style instruction is given, or if you prefer your creative team to finalize the look and feel, the samples below represent the default I will deliver.

Please keep in mind that timestamps are at an additional cost of $0.25 per audio minute (e.g. Standard transcript is $2.25 per audio minute; with timestamps added, it would be $2.50 per audio minute)

The following samples are templates designed using fictional dialogue with fictional speakers.

You can view the embedded files by clicking on the filename beneath them (will open in a new tab) or click Download to save them to view at a later time.

Default delivery will be a copy of the transcript in .docx and .PDF filetypes respectively. However, you may request whatever filetype you prefer.

References to Faithful Transcript are in the samples only and will not be present in your final transcript.

By default, I refer to the Associated Press Style Guide.

Note: Some mobile browsers may display a placeholder icon instead of the embedded PDF preview. This is normal. You can still view the full sample by selecting the file name or download button to preview through your preferred PDF application.

Sermons

Standard formatting is the closest match to a traditional sermon transcript: clean, readable, and designed primarily for easy access to the spoken content. This format works especially well when the transcript will appear directly beneath the sermon’s video or audio players. It also works as a clean downloadable reference as a PDF to accompany audio downloads. Choose Standard if your main priority is accessibility, reference, and practical use rather than visual presentation.

Publication-ready formatting corresponds to the more polished sermon format, with greater attention to page design, visual hierarchy, spacing, and overall presentation. It is best suited to transcripts that will be downloaded, shared separately, or used as standalone reading material rather than viewed on the website. Choose this option when you want the transcript itself to feel like a finished resource.

Editorial formatting corresponds to the most book-like sermon presentation and is intended for content that will be incorporated into a larger written resource. It is especially well suited to accompanying workbooks, course packets, study guides, or other materials where the transcript needs to read smoothly alongside exercises, reflection questions, or additional written content. Choose Editorial when the transcript is becoming part of a broader publication rather than simply documenting the lesson.

Standard Formatting

Grand or Minimal headers for standard transcripts are stylistic choices that do not cost extra.

Standard Sermon with Grand Header — $2.25 per audio minute

Standard Sermon with Grand Header and Timestamps – $2.50 per audio minute

Standard Sermon with Minimal Header – $2.25 per audio minute

Publication-Ready Formatting

A Publication-Ready transcript costs $3.00 per audio minute. It features a more premium-formatting than Standard with scripture citations, stylized congregation participation and more elegant timestamps when applicable. It also comes with a simple cover page.

Publication-Ready Sermon – $3.00 per audio minute

Publication-Ready Sermon with Timestamps – $3.25 per audio minute

Editorial Editions

Editorial editions are designed with the same formatting as Publication-Ready at $3.00 per audio minute, plus $125 for the graphic cover. Bulk discounts are available if you’re looking to package your new teaching series together as Editorial Editions. The cost of the first cover is $125 and each subsequent cover is $100.

The following covers are examples only, not templates. You do not need to agree to the look and feel of any of them unless they particularly speak to you.

For a more book-like presentation, congregational reactions and audience cues can be omitted upon request.

Editorial Edition Sermon – $3.00 per audio minute plus $125 for graphic cover

Podcasts

If your podcast is single-speaker, it may be presented more like the sermons displayed above; however, this may depend on the content of the episode, especially if it is commentary on other audio. In such a case, speaker labels would likely be implemented.

Speaker labels will need to be specified:

  • proper names (e.g. Mara Hale, Daniel Brooks)
  • first names only (e.g. Mara, Daniel)
  • last names only (e.g. Hale, Brooks)
  • or generic speaker labels (e.g. Female Speaker, Male Speaker).

Audio files in which no speakers introduce themselves will automatically have generic labels.

Additional cost for more than two speakers will cost $0.25 more per minute per speaker. E.g. If Mara and Daniel here had one other speaker, their fee would be $2.50 per audio minute for a Standard transcript. Likewise, if they had two other speakers, their Standard transcript would cost $2.75 per audio minute.

Standard Podcast with Grand Header and Proper Name Speaker Labels – $2.25 per audio minute

Publication-Ready Formatting

Publication-Ready formats cost $3.00 with a more premium-formatting than Standard with scripture citations and more elegant timestamps. They also come with a simple cover page.

Publication-Ready Podcast with Proper Name Speaker Labels – $3.00 per audio minute

Publication-Ready Podcast with Timestamps and Proper Name Speaker Labels – $3.25 per audio minute

Publication-Ready Podcast with Timestamps and Generic Speaker Labels – $3.25 per audio minute

Bible Studies

Bible study audios with more than one speaker will be presented in the same formation as the multi-speaker podcasts. If the Bible study audio is only a single-speaker lecture, it will be presented in the same formation as the sermons.

Video Courses

Single-instructor courses are formatted like sermon transcripts. Videos with multiple speakers are formatted like podcast transcripts.

The standard rate of $2.25 per audio minute includes up to two speakers per video. Each additional speaker adds $0.25 per audio minute.

This surcharge applies only when multiple speakers appear in the same video. A course may have several instructors across separate modules without any extra speaker fee.

Because course transcripts are often displayed beneath the video player, Standard formatting is usually the most practical and economical choice. Publication-ready formatting is better suited to transcripts intended for download or standalone distribution, while Editorial formatting is ideal for accompanying workbooks or course packets.
